Tom Brunt reports: 12 Trigs of Christmas 2022 / 2023 – December 24 update:
As we approach the end of the first week of the 12 Trigs competition here are the current standings. After a promising start the organiser has been laid low with an untimely bout of Covid allowing other contenders to seize the initiative. Rich Baldwin leapt into an early lead ticking off 15 trigs in the opening weekend but has been overhauled by the consistent accumulating of Tom Pape.

Our defending champion claims he is not mounting a serious defence of his title, but time will tell… With the holiday season upon us and the possibility of trips further afield to far flung moorland outposts and the greater ranges everything is likely to change.

James Lowe reports “A shout out to Rhys Findlay-Robinson who has been steadfastly loyal to Dark Peak over many years of living in the Lakes. Unfortunately he will be leaving the club in the new year having been softly coerced into joining Helm Hill. Rhys has been a member of many a Champs/Relays winning team and is the sole Dark Peak winner of the Men’s British Champs Open title. I‘m sure many of you will join me in thanking him for his long term support of the club and wish him well in future.” Well said!
