Congratulations to the indefatigable Andy Harmer who has just organised the last of 78(!) Crookstone Crashouts, that have been run twice yearly come hell or high water since he was a much younger man. New R.O. Tom Saville will be stepping into a sizable pair of Mudclaws when the race is next run in the summer and it’s a racing certainty that Andy will be in the field.
Past races
Dark Peak Stones – Oli Johnson held off Tom Brunt by a handful of seconds with Jack Foxall only a minute or so behind. Anna Watkinson-Powell, the only woman in the field, had an excellent run to finish 5th overall. This race was chosen to contest the Eric Mitchell Trophy which, once the age category handicaps had been calculated was won by M75 Mick Cochrane. Results
Crookstone Crashout – Tom Saville 1st man. Penny Collier and Sarah Broadhurst 1st= women. Full results pending.
