A day after Jon Morgan's BG, Mike completed this route, comprising 21 peaks in 32 miles and 3700 metres of climb, in 8hrs 6 mins.
Mike's description of the day:

I left the village hall in the dark with the weather cold, clear and dry with Kia (our dog) as a running companion.  Pleasant and near perfect under-foot conditions allowed for good progress to Wrynose Pass where Hazel was waiting.  After a few cups of coffee and a change of clothing it was time to press on.  Due to concerns of ice and snow on the following tops Kia was allowed to miss out this section.  Crampons were finally put on at the summit of Bowfell, they should have gone on before the bad step on the Crinkles.  The crampons allowed for fast running over the ice-sheets between Bowfell, Esk Pike and Great End.  With crampons packed away care had to be taken as there were still many patches of ice and compact snow.  Honister Pass soon arrived where again Hazel was waiting with coffee, fresh clothing.  An enjoyable final section followed, again accompanied by Kia to the foot of Catbells.
