As of 3rd January there are only 4 places left, so get your request in now, but don't despair, if the course is oversubscribed there will be another one later in the year.
Dark Peak are running a navigation course on Sunday 23rd January and it is open to anyone who is a paid up member of the club. The course is aimed as an introduction to navigation but if there are more experienced runners, we can adapt the subjects areas covered to a more advanced level. It will be a practical course so you will be out on the hills.

The course will cover the following subjects plus much more:
- Basic safety on the fells
- Navigation equipment required
- Reading a map
- Navigation skills
- Grid references
In addition all participants will also receive a hard copy of Martin Bagness's leaflet 'Mountain Navigation for Runners' plus there will be tea and coffee supplied.
