As has been alluded to the mens open team didn't have a great race. I went headfirst into a few rocks just off St. Sunday Crag (leg 4), which didn't knock any sense into me but did give me a complete dead leg, thereby undoing the great efforts of Rhys and Neil (3rd on 1st leg) and Phil and Tom Edwards (3rd fastest leg 3).

Special thanks to Tom for stepping in to the team late friday night! Rob and Callum also ran really hard on leg 2, but slight navigational uncertainty down Threshwaite Mouth meant Al and Mike (DPFR vets team) enjoyed
being re-ovtaken by our team. Even with a sub-optimal route here we still started 5th on leg4 from Patterdale. Oli was running particularly strongly and I'm pretty sure we would have overhauled Keswick, and defintely given Calder Valley a good battle if I could have done more than hobble down. Oh well, next year then gents!
