Tom Westgate is organising the 57A race/run again this year, on Sunday 9th May. He says:-
Those good folk who can not make Alan Yates Joss Naylor fest on the same weekend are invited to get on the 57A bus from Sheffield Interchange at 9 o’clock. The bus will take us to Langsett Barn. From here the race will wind its merry way to Edale Station café via several checkpoints. I will advise of the route shortly but at the moment I am minded to change the route from previous years – it is likely to be a rough crossing. There will be no support so everybody will have to be self sufficient & responsible for themselves. I expect people to carry, amongst standard FRA kit, survival bags and spare food in case of emergency. Spare clothing for the finish is also advisable. Those people not confident of navigation are invited to team up with others. Can all interested parties e mail me with names & contact land and mobile numbers.
