Lewis Aston writes: The Juniors are putting on a Kick-Off event for the autumn term. It’s open to all and it could be your way in to helping out with the Juniors. It’s an introductory session for everybody, new members and new leaders alike. There will be plenty of experienced kids on hand to show everybody the ropes…. there will be some leaders, to marshal the masses. So please do come along and support the event, even if it’s just to swing by, wave and head out on the adults social run. See News item.

Congratulations to Laurence Piercy who has completed a fast Dennis Rankin Round in 17:01. I believe this to be the first completion by a DPFR member. Further details of the round can be found here.

Grisedale Horseshoe – Simply a great race. Don’t be deceived by its status as “only an AM”, it’s brutal! Bertie Houghton 8^th, Spike 1^st M50, Despina Berdeni 4^th woman, Jenny Caddick 2^nd F50, Alison Wainwright 3^rd F50 and Paul Sanderson birthday treat. Results.

Saturday 10^th September – Groovy Kinder Love. A good outing from Hayfield. Recommended.

Sunday 11^th September – Peak Raid, round 1. If you’ve not done one of these before, just do it. You might well get hooked.
