Many thanks to Roy and Marilyn Small for organising what I hope will be the first of many Bamford camping weekends. Saturday morning’s excellent ‘Up the Clough’ race was won by Tom Milton, with Jon Coe and Simon Mills in a tussle for second place. Sally Fawcett was the first woman to finish (6th overall) with Helen Elmore and Andy Barnett accumulating a couple of age category wins each. Finally, Graham Berry took the M70 title.

After Borrowdale and with just one race left in this year’s Lakeland Classics
Trophy, Majka Kunicka is 3rd woman and will definitely win the W40’s. John Hunt has a narrow lead in the M50’s with Paul Carnforth snapping at his heels. Alison Wainwright is 2nd W50. Dark Peak are 5th team but well adrift of a podium finish. Standings Individuals and Teams.
