Bamford Camping weekend

This will be over the weekend of Friday 19^th to Sunday 21^st August. I never made it to one of the Thornbridge weekends of yore, but they were always popular. Some details in the calendar which will get fleshed out in due course.

Lantern Pike Dash

Shutlingsloe

Dicky Wilkinson, Helen Elmore (2^nd woman) and Andy Barnett (1^st M60) flying the flag at Shutlingsloe. This was Dicky’s second race of the day after having won the M60’s at Lantern Pike a couple of hours earlier. Results.

Alport

James Lowe won narrowly from Jack Foxall. Someone then came up with the bright idea of holding the debrief at the Fulwood Ale Club. Recommended! Results pending.

Jura

Finlay Wild broke his own course record and became the first runner ever to finish in under 3 hours, while Jasmin Paris won the women’s race. Tom Savile was 1st the 15 brown vests in the field and Jenny Caddick was 2nd F50, which seems to be the case every week. Also of note was Tom Westgate’s 17th completion of this great race. Results.

Saturday 4^th June – Duddon Valley Fell Race, the first of the Lakeland Classics. While Long Duddon is long, Short Duddon definitely isn’t short. As of Saturday afternoon, entries are still open for both, via SiEntries.

Sunday 5^th June – Big Stone, a new Peak District race from Chinley. Pre-entry only.

Wednesday 8^th June – Boar’s Head, Higher Poynton

Saturday 11^th June – Ennerdale Horseshoe, the second Lakeland Classic. Great race.
