Compasses were in heavy use over the weekend when Ian Winterburn completed the BG in 23:44, starting at 6:30pm on Friday night.
The weather started fine but it developed into a very dark night with patchy but dense mist. Which later somewhere around Scafell developed into heavy wind and rain. It was low key attempt with only two or three supporters for each leg. We had the company of \’Congleton Jim\’ for much of the day who also made it round.
