Congratulations to Helen Elmore who completed the Ramsay Round this weekend in 23:25 and thereby became only the fifth woman to complete the 3 Big Rounds.

Buttermere Horseshoe – There was a good DPFR turnout for what is arguably the most arduous of the Lakeland Classics. The Brown Vests were led home by Pete Davies in 4th (1st MV40) with Eleanor Wainwright 6th woman and Alison Wainwright winning the W50’s. Dave Tait (the real Carshare in my view!) was first M70 over the short course. Results

Olympic Fell Race – 16 Olympic hopefuls lined up for this excellent race (with over 2,000 feet of ascent in about 4 miles) which was won by Oli Johnson, with Pete Davies only a handful of seconds behind. Tom Pape took the Bronze. There is talk of using the same course for a Winter Olympics. Results
