Upcoming events:
Until Thursday, 3rd September – Tha Sprunce (Race 15 Route 4). The penultimate running of Route 4, which can be run in either direction.
Until Monday 7th September – Derwent TT: Race 2. Another TT race for connoisseurs that will be familiar to those who ran the long leg at the Relays. At the time of writing, the crossing of Abney Clough is quite sporting but this should improve with drier weather in coming days.
Tuesday 1st September until Wednesday 30th September – September 7 Hill Climbing Series. An interesting addition to the Calendar.
Sunday 6th September – Crowden Horseshoe
Past events:
There is no TT race to report from last week. The top 10 of the Men’s TT league has taken on a more settled look as runners approach and surpass the completion of their best-of-ten-to-count races. Tom Brunt is poised to move to the head of the table. Messrs Rutter and Borrell will shoot northwards as soon as they get their races in, with Paxman and Ashton destined to sink without trace. Rosie Walwyn and Helen Elmore continue to lead the Women’s league. Majka Kunica is undefeated but has as yet only run five races.
