Once again the organisers set the superb standard of how to give value for money at a race. There was water throughout the course, bottles of water at Crowden, also unlimited tea at the finish with sandwiches and cake. Prizes were given for the first 3 in each five-year age group, and even 3 Team Prizes. Excellent – the example to copy. It was a very hot day and beating sun. Joe was 4th, Dickie Wren 7th, Christine Howard 8th and 1st Lady, followed by Steve Storey as 9th. DP took first and third team prizes.
