Lakeland Classics – after Wasdale. Down to second place, now that Ambleside have got their third counter. Yet another big mountain to climb….But there looks to be plenty of mugs on their way to individuals….
Next race is Castle Carr. I can’t stress enough that trying to find the best lines on the day won’t be much use, and if the clag is down, learning it will be crunch. Connoisseurs of Wadsworth Trog will remember with delight the moors between High Brown Knoll and Sheepstones Trig. Their are trods all over, most not marked on any map.

If someone can get to one of these, and then give some guided tours to the troops, it will be really helpful. I’ll have a plod round to try and remember it from last time, but will sadly be far too plodding to help the speedy runners.
