We ran in the 2nd running of the highlander mountain marathon up in
Torridon this weekend just gone. The event was held in the most amazing snowy conditions, brilliant views in the sunshine and very poor vis in the many blizzards that made navigation tricky. It snowed off and on all night at the exposed overnight camp so the 2nd day was even trickier, with deeper snow. Tough
courses, great views, unbelievable conditions a truly memorable event. The fastest times on both days were by Tim Higginbottom and Chris Near the A class winners that won in an amazing 9:38min (around 55-60km c.3500m)over 2 hrs ahead of the second team!
