Watch out for Borrowdale entries – 31st May.

Cader Idris. “Dave Taylor and Nick Kirk made the journey to Wales for the Cader Idris race. It was a very clear hot day and dry underfoot, surprisingly difficult conditions to run in. Dave had a good run winning the V40. Also, Andy Beanland ran as u/a. Great race and well worth the journey. results.

Jura:- Results. News from Gavin:- “At the sharp end Es Tresidder had a fine tussle with Rob Jebb. Es changed into road shoes at the bridge, whilst Rob carried on in fell shoes. At Craighouse they were in the same order, with Rob’s wining time ~ 3:16. Rob Baker came in soon after to claim first Jura virgin, with Jon Morgan, Neil Northrop, Simon Patton and John Coe also under the magic 4 hours. The weather (‘Scorchio’) caused a few folk to blow up, but with wall to wall sunshine there was no scope for walkabouts. Another classic day out.”

Yorkshire-garden-wins-Che-008 Carshare’s gardening correspondent, fresh from the Chelsea Flower Show, notes that the Welcome to Yorkshire entry, “Bronte Garden”, has taken a gold medal. This is a re-creation of Bronte Bridge, familiar indeed to runners of Withins Skyline up there.
