The Trigger. “Oli won today in 3.13, Neil Northrop 3rd, 4th Jon Morgan (making DP 1st team)”. Full results .
Ashurst Beacon:- results. 4th place for John, and 2nd V45.
Lamb’s Leg: – results.
Trig Points:- results. No problems here at all for Rob Little, first home and 5 minutes clear!
White Holme Circular:- Clear, frozen and cold tripping round the reservoirs, bits of ice and plenty of frozen tussocks up and down the hillside. A good event, about 9miles.
Website- how much we depend on this, and eternal thanks must go to our illustrious webmaster for the time and headaches keeping this to such a high standard…
Route Notes:- a reminder that there are Notes for most races, for anyone from anywhere, just send through. The “biggun” will be the Gt Lakes Run, and runners will be lost all over the place should the clag be down. I got lost in perfectly clear conditions, making a scenic visit to Cold Pike, amongst other beauty spots. I’ll keep any newly learnt secret lines club internal….
End of February – don’t forget High Cup Nick, not in the Calendar but on the FRA website, almost a replica of the Downfall. “seniors 9 miles, 2 pm start, £5 Entry on day. Juniors 1 pm - free soup and roll for all, plus lots of yummy cakes to buy” . Also Dufton. “12.30 start for seniors, 10.30 for juniors”. ( Carshare wonders if this lapse of getting sorted out might spread amongst other Borrowdale runners? )
Although Dufton is a trip out, these are two very good events, and with no Noonstone, worth thinking about. There’s the shove, hustle and crowds of Ilkley Moor, pre-entry – but Carshare might well meet a car in the traditional A1 layby if anyone is thinking of going?
Ian Winterburn – see Comments – is hoping to be at High Cup Nick…
Skyline Entries – are now open…
Three Peaks Entry . Hurry up! You either likes this race or don’t likes this race…..Teams did very well last year, so every hope of maintaining this…(but not on Carshare’s list…)
