Jarrett Jaunt Results – Mike sends them through:- “A great race run in awful conditions.  A handicapped race with the (alleged) slowest runners setting off first, with just as much bickering as the Dark Peak club champs.  Great fun and highly recommended.
1st  (crossed the line 29th)    Ricky Lightfoot    Ellenborough  32.58
3rd  (crossed the line 40th)    Mike Robinson    Dark Peak      38.25   V40”
                 53 ran.

Not that much of a Mystery Name Competition.   image This is on Filey promenade, so which name is under E (east) on this compass? Readers of Kes might know it well? -  (or dedicated Googlers…)
Followers of the   Shipping Forecast   will know that Fisher is invariably followed by German Bight….Perhaps this is beyond our younger members, not brought up on the wireless and “Uncle Mac”, as our similar aged Webmaster provides the correct solution.
Not sure which age-group Martin Stocks fits into, hardly a spring chicken, but not as ancient as Carshare and the Webmaster…

Skyline Helpers needed:- “It is rapidly getting towards that time of year again and Dave Taylor has once again kindly offered to take on the job of sorting out the marshalling jobs. Some Dark Peakers have already been kind enough to volunteer but if anyone else is able to help please get in touch with Dave ASAP. Dave is not often down at the club on a Wednesday night so Paul S has also kindly offered to do on Dave’s behalf the role of promoting, coercing, persuading, and bullying the Wednesday nighters into helping. Dave’s contact details are  e-mail  or  0114 2582193”

Wadsworth Trog. Early threatening clag faded away, so although wet and boggy, not too awkward conditions this year. Good to meet up with our travelling runners, results . James Logue was home first, just ahead of Tom Brunt.

Winter Hill. – results.  Dave Aucott there, and 6th – 1st  V40.

Nottingham Fell Championships. Dicky Wilkinson has “taken on the job of organising this  for Notts AAA and John Boyle has kindly allowed Wolf’s Pit fell race to act as host for these inaugural championships. I’m trying to attract Nottinghamshire born, but Sheffield / Peak District resident Dark Peakers that might be interested providing they haven’t competed in another county champs like XC already in 2011 – it may only be a handful but the more the merrier. No pre-entry just register for Notts Champs at registration for the race on the day.” Details , and if you need any more help, try e-mail.
