Langstrath. Another most welcome return indeed, this time from Joe, clearly coming back from troubled injury. 14th, 47.53mins, results (with some fiddling…)

Great Lakes Run:-
results.   DSCF0695 One of Martin Stock’s photos, others on DPFR photos. This is approaching the  col off Little Stand, looking back to Slight Side and the Scafells. Look out for this race next year….

A right classic if ever there is one, 13ml, 7000ft. Langdale, over both Scafells, round the back and home over Blisco.
A superb trip round, as good as it gets. Hopefully Martin’s photos to come. Clear, cool, dry. Considering other happenings, a very good turnout from our Lakeland Specialists – which was noticed and remarked upon -  – Mike (4th) : Matt (5th) : Jon Coe (7th) : Gavin (8th) : Dave Sykes (9th) :  Jenny Caddick – 1st Lady.
Round to Scafell is the more straightforward part, then finding the way off Slight Side invites errors, as does wandering across to the Little Stand col. Leaving a final descent off Blisco which us visitors tended to mess up considerably.
£5.00 entry, loads of cake and sandwiches at the end – every compliment to the organisers…

Hunshelf Amble :- “Hunshelf Amble is a low key affair, deep in the heart of PFPR territory. The views from registration north and east across to the Trent valley were worth the trip in themselves. The running was on footpaths and tracks round the Hunshelf Parish boundary – well marked and marshalled at all the critical points. The perennial debate of how to award prizes was stoked by the organisers, but none should feel hard done by given the quality and quantity of the prizes. For those few without prizes, the tea and scones in the cricket pavilion went down a treat.” –( Lewis )

Sutton Pinnacles – results. image Here’s a poser for you…Where’s this then? Has Carshare got the traditional prize of Jaffa Cakes safe in the cupboard?
No chance – Willy must know these parts well… as does Greg. It’s one of the towers above Earl Crag, a class place to be running, along to the next tower, then over to the Hitching Stone, one of these rocks of myths and legends, like the Eagle Stone above Baslow. Well worth a family walk if ever you’re up this way.

Shelf Moor Entry Form. The other short English Championship race – on our doorstep…..Nicky has noticed that “The entry form is now up – entries "not processed till July 1st" but means we can still get our entries off.”

BG Weekend – best wishes from Carshare to everyone involved – and now congratulations!

Wasdale Entry List – filling up steadily….
