Dentdale. English Championship. results. A good hard course, and thanks to all our runners for supporting. In time I’ll look at the Team placings….A superb 1st for the Seniors – Pudsey should be clear, but anything can happen at Langdale in the wet slippy clag. Another 2nd for the V40’s, behind Borrowdale, which should settle 2nd overall. The V50’s competition goes down to Langdale, with us, Pennine and Clayton needing to win it. I’ll sort out the route notes soon, and try to get a map marked up to send round.
No Lady runners, though encouragement from Lizzie, no doubt with other races understandably on her agenda.
Official complaints may need to be made to the FRA Secretary about the completely unwarranted, unprovoked ( don’t let the truth spoil things…) soaking by certain Pennine runners in the river afterwards – wait till the Langdale river….But your cakes were, once again, excellent.
A reminder to anyone and everyone – there’s an end-of- championships cake celebration after Langdale, where Pennine Bakers can expect to be eclipsed…
