Grisedale Grind Results. – was exactly that. From a forestry carpark opposite Whinlatter Visitors Centre, a little bit of track to reach open fell, then slog up to the top, round the marshal and hurtle back down. 2.5ml, 1600ft – a real AS race. Take any combination of Borrowdale and you have the front runners.

Hartcliff Hill Results

Bunny Run (3). Results.  We’re nearly getting soft up here, another warm-ish, dry hard ground course. Some things change little, with another win for Ian Holmes.

Moelwyn Three Peaks Results.  Lloyd – 3rd, and Matt 8th.

Trunce (2). Results

iROC  Results  Phil marvellously sends:- “9 miles fell race (rough and hilly, would be a good champs race, similar to Noon Stone);
6 miles Orienteering;
1hr Night Orienteering (but it was light all the way round?!?);
MTB time-trial 6 mile (long climb and awesome technical descent cut through a forest);
6 mile Night Fell Race that started at 11pm!
Sunday was a 4hr MTB enduro event over a very rough and hilly circuit comprising of 2 different loops   –
Dark Peak Vets (Rich and Si Patton and Jon Morgan) won the Men’s team (£150).  I was racing with Helly Hanson UK and won the Mixed team prize (£300).  Me and Jon were 2nd and 3rd respectively in the individual competition and picked up £125 and £60.  Lots of well established Adventure Racers were quite surprised at our results, we were surprised at all the expensive kit they had! Morgan Donnelly was 1st individual (£250) not bad considering he can’t read a map for toffee, luckily was quick (and shrewd) enough to know who were the best people to follow in the Orienteering. Not quite sure whether Mr Morgan actually looked at his map either…We had a great weekend with lots of laughs, great weather and a top venue.  Thanks to Shane Ohly for a well organised and testing event – My body is shot, and a—  is killing me!”

“Tim Martin also won the U23 class at the i-roc taking home a £100.”

Hawkshead Trail Results  John Heneghan back first. So many runners, please tell me if you were there, I can’t see anyone?

Coledale Horseshoe Results. Lakeland running at its very best. The race was usually run midweek, but with new organisers, Mike and colleagues, it has now moved to a weekend. Marvellous to see so many Dark Peak travellers, 12 – though I may have missed someone out. When others remark that there are lots of brown vests, it feels good.
   There are classic AM Lake courses, and this ranks with the best. We started in Braithwaite campsite, then Grisedale Pike, Crag Hill, round to Barrow. Dry, hard firm ground. Sunny, clear, everything we hope for in a fell trip. Most definitely worth travelling for – superb.
     A table full of help-yourself cake and sandwiches at the finish, showers, the whole thing very well thought out. Rob Jebb was first, their daughter Millie now four weeks old…..
    For Tebay, Pete Bland has those marked up maps, they would be worth buying. If these maps are at Stuc a Chroin I could pick up any orders. Also, he has Stuc a Chroin maps, if anyone is short…
