Danny Hughes:- “European Athletics regrets to report the death of the legendary British athletics administrator Danny Hughes who died suddenly this morning. (DT – 9th Feb.) Danny was one of the leading specialists in Mountain Running and served numerous positions within the sport including holding the office of the President of the World Mountain Running Association since 1994. He was a very active member of the European Athletics Mountain Running Commission since 2002 and prior to that was Secretary of the World Mountain Running Association for 10 years until 1994. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.”
