And Blackstone edge doubles up….
Weets Results:- Managed to get round between the downpours. With the normal outrun fields unavailable, a long road hill at the start and finish. But good stuff once on the fell – AS and1800ft. So I now know that the "B", in the Rolls Royce RB2 jet engines, is "B" for Barnolsdwick…where the factory is…
James Thorn:- hoping some results may? emerge…
Grindleford:- not sure where any results will come from?
Oughtibridge Gala Chase Kevin Dudley kindly sends:- "The biggest entry I’ve seen for this race, mostly the large presence from nearby Penistone Footpath Runners. Also notable was a respectable entry of juniors from the local school, about 20 in all. Not strictly a fell race, but has enough ‘up’ to make it worthwhile. The course climbs through Wharncliffe Woods on good trails then returns back to the park at break-neck speed. But…aargh, they make you run round the field again! A good little blast with strong support from the locals.

PS I have photos of the top 60 full results if there’s interest."
Durisdeer Results:- 3rd Seniors, behind Borrowdale and Pudsey, and 2nd Vets, after Borrowdale. A long way, but worth it for the excellent course. Two full cars from Sheffield, that’s the only way to do this expensive travelling. Rob Jebb and Angela Mudge decimated the previous records.
Ennerdale Results:- First Team and an excellent First Lady. Congratulations to all. Now for Wasdale……
"And I don’t mean those from eastern Europe. I mean those that you use to help you uphill. I was very surprised, as were many others, to see someone, using 2 ‘walking sticks’ in the Ennerdale fell race. Any thoughts on this? The ‘racer’ finished very well up."
Lots of discussion on Fellrunner Forums:-
Kinder Trog Results:- (excellent Hayfield efficiency…) I’m thinking that Rob (4th) and Jon (7th) didn’t try hard enough up in Scotland, somehow still being able to run the Trog. Which leaves me wondering if Geoff Briggs did the same – but after Ennerdale? You Peak runners must be tough, not like us softies up here…
Knaresborough Bed Race:- Around 20,000 visitors to Knaresborough for this…. won by Ripon Runners in 15mins, and nobody lost in the
river crossing….
