Jura Results:- with another tremendous DPFR turnout. First home was Rob Jebb, ahead of Ian Holmes.

Helvellyn Results:- Clear, dry, but extremely windy, a cross wind forever battering us on the ridge over the Dodds to Helvellyn. Difficult to make progress at times, easy to get blown off the path onto awkward rocks. At least that final descent was completely dry. Dave Taylor – 7th – had to face the might of Borrowdale vets, Joe – 10th : Steve Storey a strong 1st V50, and Matt, loosening up for the Lakeland Classics, close behind.
One of the superb Lakeland courses, worth doing for the cakes afterwards….
Cader Idris Results:- What about this for a performance! Janet finishing in 5th place! Photos in DPFR photos..
Hutton Roof Results:- A large field, rushing into a bottlenecked start. Then a tour of Farleton Knott, climbing that front face of scree that you can see from the M6, beside the Lakes exit. Warm, the fell bone dry, just avoid stepping on the orchids and cowslips. Sorry Martin – you’ve not been awarded a time, : please send through if you can help!
Austwick Amble:- The usual village fair, for some reason it’s the “Cuckoo Festival”. Once out of the village a very good limestone course, open pastures, limestone pavements – and the turn round was that horrible path off Ingleborough. Not on this race! Dry, the only time I’ve run fast, light footed through Sulber Nick – then head for home.
