Ashurst Beacon:- This is far over in East Lancs, where John Hunt “Almost took it, led for 5.5 miles of the 5.9 miles, but the young whipper who’d been hanging on at times, timed his boot well and took victory. DPFR 2nd.”
Kinder Trial Results:- Very heavy going, wet underfoot and rain around – thankfully not too cold. Checkpoints taking us to the more obscure parts of the Hayfield side of Kinder – some placed to slow down the first arrivals and let them do the finding before the late comers eventually arrive….As an event, they don’t come much better than this, terrific atmoshere and help on the hill, unlimited excellent free refreshments. Andy deserves the utmost praise for his organisation and hard work.
