Phil “used my new toy to follow me around the course tonight. Tim Hawley (and a few others) wanted to see the route. As you can see I didn’t really take the optimum route. Dave Holmes slaughtered me to the Headstone from Rivelin track, I took the ‘bad’ option straight up the valley to the bridge. I think we found the knoll, there was a resounding ‘This’ll do’ and off we went to the Needle. Thanks to all those that guided me round.”
