Tour of Pendle:- Photos. Full results .A prestigious course record from Lloyd – that’s some achievement. A marvellous mass DPFR travelling turnout – 18. Cold, but clear and dry, so no trouble finding the way. That last hill sorted everyone out, we all know it’s knackering, it always is, so stagger out past the trig and head for home. Wot’s this – 1st Team prize, ahead of Clayton on their home patch. Full credit though to Clayton for putting this event on, with bucketsful of prizes in every and any category, an example to all. A regrettable complaint from the organiser about litter, there really are no excuses, and gels can only come from us runners. Someone’s now got to clear the fell of litter, and there shouldn’t be any left, anywhere.
Tom adds:- “Stiff climbs with fast sprints and descents in between. A wetter course and some clag would be a challenge. The criticism about litter was justified – numerous gel packets & bottles were noted, some were no doubt accidents (I hope) the rest stupidity. The winning DPFR team lead the way but what good runs across the board.” The three all-stars can be seen resplendent on DP photos…
Roaches:- Last week, but this link has photos taken on Shutlingsloe. (thanks, Ian.)
