Final Run of the Summer – 21/09/22
This weeks run is from Cutthroat Bridge. Please note the start time is 6.30pm in order to maximise available daylight.
Winter Club Runs
The eagle eyed amongst you will have noticed that the calendar has now been updated with runs through to Christmas. There may be small alterations so please continue to check the calendar each week.
This winter will feature a trail run every week with the majority of these being from the Sportsman with some away visits. Road runs are scheduled roughly bi-weekly. I will aim to add a map of the route as has been typical for the past couple of years.
Some notes
Kit! – we are heading in to the winter and the weather is likely to quickly become more changeable. I expect all attendees to a Wednesday night off road run over winter to carry FRA kit AS A MINIMUM. This is not a scenario of ‘I’ll take the risk’, it is about the safety of the group should someone get injured.
If you want to organise an alternative away run please feel free but try to ensure it is added to the Calendar (via the calendar contact) in good time. If you can copy me in (Wednesday Nights contact) as a courtesy that would be appreciated.
The published maps each week are a SUGGESTED route. Typically the published route with be aimed at a ‘medium length/pace’ group with options to shorten or lengthen. Please feel free to adopt alternative routes but ensure all in the group you are running with are aware of this. I have tried to alter the direction of the route each week to give the runs some variety so if adopting an alternative route please try to bear this in mind.
On weeks were the club run is ‘away’ there is likely to be people in attendance at the Sportsman. Sportsman runs on these weeks will be organised Ad-hoc by those in attendance. Please consider this when attending. Additionally, those attending a week with only a trail run advertised are more than welcome to organise a road run.
