The Ben Nevis race a couple of weeks ago was the tenth of the twelve races that constitute the 2018 Carshare League. Rhys F-R already has his required five counters in the bag (six in fact) and has an unassailable lead at the top of the League. With two races remaining, a further eight runners can also complete their five Carshare League races. Reigning champion Mike Robinson is the leading Vet but could be caught if either of Messrs. Taylor and Pyke run at both Peris and Langdale. Penny Collier, who has entries at both Peris and Langdale, only needs to stay upright to become the second woman ever to complete five Carshare League races in a calendar year.

The remaining races, both AL’s of the highest calibre, are:

Peris Horseshoe on Saturday 29th September. Pre-entry here… https://www.fabian4.co.uk EOD is available but it’s cheaper to pre-enter. The race starts at 11:00 but runners in the ‘Full Peris’ can start at 10:30 with the ‘Half Peris’ runners. The less fleet of foot are advised to do this as there’s a pretty tight cut-off at Pen-y-Pass that did for me one year.

Langdale Horseshoe on Saturday 13th October. Pre-entry here… https://www.sientries.co.uk and there’s no EOD. At the time of writing, 324 of the maximum 500 entries have already gone.
