We\’ve just received this request for assistance from the organisers:
I am emailing to enquire if your members/family/friends would like to volunteer their time to marshal at the BUPA Great Yorkshire Run. This is the inaugural year of the event to be held in Sheffield city centre on Sunday September 9th and we are looking for marshals to assist in wave starts, directing runners and giving out well-deserved water and goodybags.
For each marshal your club can provide, there is a £15 donation to the club and each individual will receive a Nike jacket and packed lunch on the day.
Alternatively, if your club members are unavailable on the Sunday or you would like to volunteer for both days, we are also looking for marshals for the Tesco Junior & Mini event happening on Saturday Sept 8th at Don Valley Stadium.
