Race Organiser Gavin Williams has revealed that the venue for 2016 is Highfield Farm, Upper Booth (as per 2007).

The route will be released at the Sportsman on the Wednesday beforehand (9 November). Any recces in the area must stick to public rights of way.

With the exception of one field and one gate to get us off Roy Cooper’s farm land, the route is entirely on access land. All wall/fence crossings will be at stiles. Estimated winning time to be 75 minutes. Although there is now a ‘motorway’ from Brown Knoll to Rushup Edge, you will be pleased to hear that it will be of little benefit. There will be a small fee to enter (£1), and possibly a small parking charge, so bring some change.

We will need marshals, so if you are not running but can help on the day (12 November) please let Gavin know. There will probably be 4 checkpoints to cover, three of which are reasonably sheltered and one which is rather exposed. Also a start/finish team will be needed.

Entries to the handicapper, Lewis Ashton, contact details as per the club address list.
