With his successful completion of the Ramsay, Laurence Piercy joins a very exclusive club of people who have done the three ‘big’ UK rounds.
The current list of 35 (36 with Laurence) can be found here, and by my reckoning, the DP members now number one quarter (9/36 – actually 37 with Jon Ascroft, the new Ramsay record holder):
1987 – Martin Stone
2003 – Bob Berzins (I think the list is wrong to suggest 1990, Bob?)
2004 – Gavin Williams, Tom Westgate, Kev Saville
2008 – Nicky Spinks
2011 – Simon Reed (albeit Simon had not quite joined Dark Peak at that point)
2014 – Jules Barrett (apologies, Jules, this big3er escaped our notice at the time)
2015 – Laurence Piercy
