In response to an unnatural amount of interest paid to the finer points of Carshare League etiquette in the pub this evening (thanks, Ralph), a brief update on developments seems appropriate, and a reminder of the full listing of fixtures for this year’s league which can be found here. Keith has the only 100% attendance rate and leads the league from last year’s runner up, Dave Lund, and the defending honorary woman in third.

Next up is Coledale this coming Saturday, for which there are hopefully still some entries on the day, and at least two car-loads bound for the Lakes for this fine horseshoe AM race. Lewis may be squeezing into the Sykes-mobile for the trip up with Dave, Jenny, Greg and Ashley, or he may still be able to offer lifts in his very own estate if others come out of the woodwork. Meanwhile Jim P is ferrying Keith, Dave L and Jon P up in the day, so the team prize may very well come down to the cars themselves, with the cat being entrusted with the job of fairly reporting engine sizes on the day. Regrettably, the first honorary woman cannot be in attendance, and is looking dodgy for May’s Charlesworth Chase too, so by the time he re-enters the fray at the Cwm Pennant Horseshoe in June let’s hope somebody from the distaff side of the club has got a couple more decent CL results under their belts.

Happy running, all.
