Also of note was Mick Stenton&#8217;s return to racing and 3rd M60. Kudos to all four.<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dpfr.org.uk\/wp_dpfr\/dpfr_results\/852419\"><strong>Results<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"default-style\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"default-style\">Cakes of Bread &#8211; Tom Westgate writes: &#8220;We were blessed with a cool and dry evening for the race this year.\u00a0 The route continues to challenge folk to prove their lines are the quickest.\u00a0 The proportion of fast running is high with the odd bit of \u201csub vertical heather\u201d thrown in.\u00a0 Certainly in the debrief at the Yorkshire Bridge all the talk was of the merits, or otherwise, of different lines.\u00a0 The other point of conversation was of Despina&#8217;s outright win,\u00a0 probably a first in the annals of Dark Peak unless I am told otherwise.\u00a0 Notable runs also by Bradbury, Woods and Small with Graham Berry finishing in good order as the first octogenarian. Dark Peak race from Birchin Clough. Highly recommended.<\/div>\n<div class=\"default-style\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"default-style\">Sunday 4th May &#8211; Kinder Downfall<\/div>\n<div class=\"default-style\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<div class=\"default-style\">12th July &#8211;\u00a0Wasdale.<\/div>\n<div class=\"default-style\">Laurence Piercy writes &#8220;I\u2019ve booked the FRCC hut at Wasdale Head for the Wasdale Horseshoe race meet. Folk can get in touch with me (<strong>email\u00a0<a class=\"mailto-link\" href=\"mailto:laurencepiercy@hotmail.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">laurencepiercy@hotmail.co.uk<\/a><\/strong>) for a bed.&#8221; &#8211; Wasdale Horseshoe is not only one of the Lakeland Classics, it&#8217;s also one of the finest of all fell races which every self respecting fell runner needs on their curriculum vitae. Brackenclose, the Fell &amp; Rock Climbing Club hut at Wasdale Head, is one of the best such huts to be found and is but a stone&#8217;s throw from the race start.
