12th July – Wasdale<\/span>. Laurence Piercy writes “I\u2019ve booked the FRCC hut at Wasdale Head for the Wasdale Horseshoe race meet. Folk can get in touch with me (email<\/a>)<\/strong>\u00a0for a bed.” – Wasdale Horseshoe is not only one of the Lakeland Classics, it’s also one of the finest of all fell races which every self respecting fell runner needs on their curriculum vitae. Brackenclose, the Fell & Rock Climbing Club hut at Wasdale Head, is one of the best such huts to be found and is but a stone’s throw from the race start. Lads Leap – Lauren Leak-Smith won the women’s race. Matt Spoor was 3rd with John Crewe, Arthur King and Kris Groom (1st M45) also in the top 10.
