North Grains There and Back – To celebrate Graham Berry’s 80th birthday, this gem of a race had been sitting in the Calendar for 10 years, so non-runners had no excuses for missing it. From King’s Tree across some of the quieter corners of Bleaklow to the cabin in Upper North Grain and back via the sheepfold up the Westend. Also on offer was a shorter, saner perhaps, version to Alport Trig and the sheepfold. Storm Darragh threatened some atrocious conditions but in the event conditions were relatively benign.
