Start times – I have moved ALL start times forward by 30 minutes to avoid general busyness / car-parking issues / overcrowded pub etc. The start times are now:

Slow: 8:30 am; Medium 9:00am; Fast: 9:30am (Anarchic alternative start times are discouraged, but not prohibited.)

2. Forestry work – there is forestry work near the dam which will affect the start and finish. The steps by the dam and the footpath which angles up to meet the top of the steps are both completely blocked by trees and taped off. See map for details and alternatives. The routes marked with crosses are impassable and taped off; those marked with solid arrows are fine.

3. CP7 Cows and barbed wire hazards – beware of a herd of cows loitering around the hillside above Hancock Pond (CP 7). They seem to be docile, but they have done an excellent job of churning up the trod leading into CP7! Immediately after CP7 is a barbed wire fence – this is best crossed by the small locked gate a few yards up and left.

4.
