Think of the High Peak Marathon reincarnated. By all accounts it\u2019s a bit rough underfoot, proper hill country in fact. Details <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brucescrown.co.uk\">here<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Hoppits Hill \u2013 Nearer to home the Hoppits Hill races, another of Nicky\u2019s creations, have been taken on by Dewsbury Road Runners and are on Sunday 25<sup>th<\/sup> February. Details <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hoppits.co.uk\">here<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><u>Past races<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Ashop Horseshoe \u2013 Tom Saville lopped 5 minutes off Tom Brunt\u2019s old course record. Whilst finishing 2<sup>nd<\/sup>, Tom Brunt set a new mark for the M50\u2019s as did Greg Rimmer for the M60\u2019s. The Race Organiser (me) started first and finished last. It\u2019s a poor man who\u2026 \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dpfr.org.uk\/wp_dpfr\/dpfr_results\/845990\">Results\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p><u>Upcoming races<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Sunday 28<sup>th<\/sup> January \u2013 Tigger Tor.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday 3<sup>rd<\/sup> February \u2013 Margery Hill which is simply one of, if not the best, of the DPFR races. Just do it, you know you want to! That said, it can be a serious undertaking in poor weather so take more kit, including food than you think that you could possibly need. You\u2019ve been warned! Details in the Calendar.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday 10<sup>th<\/sup> February \u2013 Tour of Bradwell Winter Half.<\/p>\n<p>Sunday 25<sup>th<\/sup> February \u2013 Doctor\u2019s Gate, a Des Gibbons race from Old Glossop. 12.7 miles with 2,822 feet of climbing which makes it an AL.<\/p>\n<p>Sunday 25<sup>th<\/sup> February \u2013 Hoppits Hill.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday 16<sup>th<\/sup> March \u2013 Flower Scar, English championship race. Entries open. SiEntries.<\/p>\n<p>Sunday 24<sup>th<\/sup> March \u2013 Edale Skyline.
