Fin Grant back to winning ways at Stybarrow Dodd, the first of the Kong Winter Fell Series. Mike Robinson and Spike were 4th<\/sup> and 5th<\/sup> M50\u2019s respectively. Results.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n

The maps below are Tom Saville\u2019s Strava tracks from the Elite race at last weekend\u2019s OMM and constitute a couple of proper days out. Kudos!<\/p>\n

Day 1 was 43.72 km with 2,797 metres of ascent and took Oli Johnson and Tom 7:08:34.<\/p>\n

Day 2 was 33.99 km with 2,771 metres of ascent and took 5:35:24.<\/p>\n

Bole Hill Bad Boy \/ Eric Mitchell Trophy \u2013 1st<\/sup> Tim Rutter, Tom Brunt 1st<\/sup> M50, Andy Barnett 1st<\/sup> V60, Mick Cochrane 1st<\/sup> M70, Kirsty Bryan-Jones 1st woman and, neither last nor least, Jane Crowson 1st<\/sup> F60. The Bad Boy also decided the 2023 winner of the Eric Mitchell Trophy in which a deeply opaque handicapping algorithm is applied to finishing times so that runners in any of the age categories and of either sex have an equal-ish chance of winning. This year, 2nd<\/sup> place finisher and M50 Tom Brunt took possession of the coveted glass bowl and will get to choose which of next year\u2019s DPFR races will be used for his defence. Results.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Saturday 16th<\/sup> December \u2013 Winter Crookstone Crashout. Classic DPFR fare and not to be missed under any circumstances. Carsharing essential as parking is limited. The full route will be revealed at a later date but you can be certain that it will finish with the traditional quad busting descent from Crookstone Knoll back down to Rowley Bridge.<\/p>\n

Tuesday 26th<\/sup> December \u2013 Totley Two Turtle Doves, from behind The Cricket Inn. A bit traily but looks OK if you like that kind of thing. Details here. https:\/\/www.totleyac.org.uk\/two-turtle-doves<\/a>. But, better by far\u2026<\/p>\n

Tuesday 26th<\/sup> December \u2013 Boxing Day Bogtrot, under new and I hope temporary management. 75 minute score event from Burbage Bridge. Details to follow.<\/p>\n
