Mark Jones and his band of merry helpers for laying on another successful Edale Skyline last weekend. Sally Fawcett (5<sup>th<\/sup> and 2<sup>nd<\/sup> F40), Juliet Downs (7<sup>th<\/sup>) and Rachel Rose (8<sup>th<\/sup>) won the women\u2019s team prize with Henry Webb (6<sup>th<\/sup> and 1<sup>st<\/sup> MU23), Philip Montgomery (11<sup>th<\/sup>) and Ben Davison (12<sup>th<\/sup>) winning the men\u2019s team prize. In the age categories Oscar Devine-Wright was 3<sup>rd<\/sup> MU23, John Hunt 2<sup>nd<\/sup> M50 and Adrian Baker 2<sup>nd<\/sup> M60. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportident.co.uk\/results\/DarkPeak\/2023\/EdaleSkyline\/index.html\">Results<\/a> <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/uploads\/blog\/pictures\/2023-04-02--Glen-Skyline.jpg-web.png\" alt=\"2023-04-02--Glen-Skyline.jpg-web.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Glen Borrell, first Antipodean at Edale Skyline, approaching Grisedale Knoll.<\/p>\n<p>As mentioned elsewhere, this year\u2019s edition of the Burbage Skyline race has been cancelled. Paul Fauset is stepping down as R.O. after 8 (I think) successful years in the role and his successor sought. More information <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dpfr.org.uk\/posts\/view\/2224\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The DPFR BG weekend will be on 23<sup>rd<\/sup> \/ 24<sup>th<\/sup> June. There are at least two contenders and, for those who don\u2019t know about these things, I can\u2019t overstate how much fun these weekends are. Supporting a leg you get 4 to 6 hours on the hill in good company and, especially in the latter stages, you get to watch your contender really suffer. Then you go to the pub. What\u2019s not to like? In my view, this is much the best thing that the club does. The first of the Summer Series races. These are all good races.
