\n\tSorry for the delay in making this decision but finally after some good discussions the decision has been made to move the Snake check point from the pub, to Lady Clough approx 100m up the path below Birchin Clough SK 1080 9145. This means that the route will run down Lady Clough avoiding run down the A57. The road is now out of bounds.

\n\tThere are several access points into Lady Clough from the A57 between Doctor's Gate and Birchin Clough. However from North Grain the access point is a little down the road, there should be a marshal stationed at Upper grain Clough directing you.
\n\t
\n\tSupport teams can park in Birchin clough Lay-by which should be plenty of room and then wander down to the bridge (5 minutes), this will be better for all concerned.
\n\tWMRT will have a Swift water rescue unit at the river crossing at SK 1079 9070 at the bottom of Ashop Clough or alternatively if the water level is too high there is a path (of sorts!) down the East side of the river which brings you to the foot bridge at the bottom of Fairbrook Naze.
\n\tThe reason for positioning it here is to ensure runners are diverted off the road as much as possible whilst also keeping parking options available for marshals and support vehicles. The route change is much more in keeping with the rest of the route. We will review it again next year if there are any problems!
