The clag was down very low to start, but rumours of breaking through into sunshine were correct and by Stickle Tarn we were above the clouds. Wet and boggy underfoot, with enough slippy rocks. Matt Speake was first home, 6th, followed by Lloyd , 7th. Full details will await the results, but our Lakeland Regulars were once again out strong and well placed. 3rd Seniors Team, and as in the Championships, behind Pudsey (1st) and Borrowdale. Vets were probably 2nd, behind Borrowdale, which could well be 2nd overall. V50&#8217;s is far too close to call, and will await the decisions of the statistician. Clayton, Pennine and us all involved and it may well depend on countback.
