It was a great turn out. There were lots of regulars, and some new faces. It was also a good opportunity for some long standing, but less regular attendees to get out &#8211; maybe a good excuse to prioritise catch up with friends?<\/p>\n<p>There were three groups of Juniors and also the adult social run. Everybody seemed to have a good time. There was a great turn out. It is really nice to see new runners joining our ranks. There was a great set of Leaders and Supports there to enable us to be flexible with groups and ambitions.<\/p>\n<h2>Adult Social Run<\/h2>\n<p>There was an adult run in conjunction with the kick off. This was a great success &amp; is something we will carry on. Its open to DP club members and parents of Junior Members. Its a great way to get to know people &amp; club routes, without the pressure of impending darkness of a week night. The pace is also specifically targeted to being a sociable outing.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h1>Outstanding items<\/h1>\n<p>We&#8217;re still hoping for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Championships correspondent &#8211; we&#8217;ve a promise of a report for this year, but hopefully we&#8217;ll someone will take up to batton for next year&#8217;s series.<\/li>\n<li>Results &#8211; we&#8217;re still hoping for a stato volunteer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Leadership<\/h2>\n<p>We still have two Leader in Running Fitness (LiRF) course places to fill this year.<\/p>\n<h2>First Aid<\/h2>\n<p>The club has a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dpfr.org.uk\/events\/view\/4678\">First Aid Course scheduled<\/a> for 22nd October. Please consider signing up for this (free).
