Super heated Blackden! It was hot in the street as I left the house at 8:30. Blackden was just the place to be. Lots of paddling in the brook and a proper wallow in plunge pools at the end.<\/p>\n

I (Lewis) got to run with the O11s group for a change. A great treat. Thanks to Helen for leading. We went up the brook, with plenty of paddling, ran round to Seal Stones and charged down Blackden Moor to The Wicken.<\/p>\n

The U11s spent a bit of time in the brook and then adventured their way up to The Wicken. Thanks to Alenka, Ben & Julie for taking charge of this group.<\/p>\n

Autumn term runs will start on 4th September. This will be the kick-off for the kids, getting back together and having a good run.<\/p>\n

11th September will be the autumn term kick off proper. This will focus on being an introductory session for new leaders – new parents, new senior club member leading & new young Leaders. So come along, get some insights, have so fun. Here’s hoping its a big session, with lots of running & lots of fun.<\/p>\n

Leader Training<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We now have the new training allocation for LiRF and CiRF. These are great training qualifications in their own right – you’ll learn lots about how to train, what to train and why train. The LiRF is the entry level, it is an online course, part self-paced video and part video classroom, followed up by a video assessment. Please do consider taking up this offer if you are able to lead a session (or so) a term. Juniors can only carry on if we bring in new leaders.<\/p>\n

Club Family Camping weekend <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/span>The club has a family camping weekend on Bamford Park, 19th\/20th\/21st August. this should be a great weekend! <\/span>More details here<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n
