It seems that Andrew Holt will be the sole contender when he sets off at 18:45 on Friday, 24th<\/sup> June. Andrew\u2019s support needs beefing up a bit, as some of his existing support runners are due to run more than one leg, which isn\u2019t ideal for ordinary mortals. An additional runner, and preferably more, on each of legs, 2, 3 and 4 would be great. I strongly recommend newer members of the club to head up to the Lakes for the BG weekend. It is, in my biased opinion, much the best club event of the year. Come rain or shine, supporting a contender on one of the legs gives you a great day out on the hill, travelling at a comfortable pace with the additional attraction of watching someone really suffer, all of which is followed by a night in the pub. However, be warned: You are likely to be inspired to set about doing the reccying and training required to become a contender in the future. What\u2019s not to like? Other results still need a bit of sifting but Majka Kunicka was 3rd<\/sup> F40, Alex Mason was 2nd<\/sup> MU23, Chet Gillespie 3rd<\/sup> MU23, John Hunt 2nd<\/sup> M55 and Dave Tait won the M75\u2019s. Dark Peak were 3rd<\/sup> women\u2019s team and 5th<\/sup> men\u2019s team on the day, but an additional counter is used in the English Team Championship, so we\u2019ll have to see.
