Your correspondent was oh so nearly pipped at the post by Tim Rippon who would most probably have carried off the non-existent prize had he been out on the moors tagging trig points on Christmas Day instead of staying in to watch the Queen\u2019s Christmas message. Rachael Thorley easily carried off the non-existent wooden spoon by accumulating a total of only 19 points for her 12 trigs, a well-conceived twist to a well-conceived competition.<\/p>\n<p><u>Past events<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Amble\u2019s Revenge \u2013 Joseph Wade 9<sup>th<\/sup>. <a href=\"https:\/\/racebest.com\/results\/sv62v\">Results.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Moz\u2019s Birthday Run \u2013 This, one of the club\u2019s best races, was run in trying conditions. Tom Brunt was a wide margin winner and a mention must go to Ishmael Burdeau, for whom this was a first DPFR race. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dpfr.org.uk\/results\/view\/5714\">Results.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>  Trigger \u2013 A flake or two of snow, some drizzle, a refreshing breeze and a little mist above 400m to keep the navigation honest. What\u2019s not to like? Woodhead MRT\u2019s organisation was top drawer, as always. 162 runners started and 143 finished. Neil Northrop 3<sup>rd<\/sup>, Ben Davison 4<sup>th<\/sup>, Ralph Skrimshire 11<sup>th<\/sup> and Nathan Lawson 14<sup>th<\/sup> must have won the team prize. Strong runs also from Steve Adams 1<sup>st<\/sup> M50 and Paul Addison 1<sup>st<\/sup> M60. The third running of this DPFR race and the first not to be a time trial. Sandy Heys Trig has been added as an additional checkpoint to increase the amount of off piste running.
