
  
{"id":2556,"date":"2013-03-30T20:37:44","date_gmt":"2013-03-30T20:37:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dpfr.org.uk\/wp_dpfr\/?p=2556"},"modified":"2013-03-30T20:41:31","modified_gmt":"2013-03-30T20:41:31","slug":"","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dpfr.org.uk\/wp_dpfr\/2556","title":{"rendered":"Carshare League #3 (Silent Valley Sat 13th April) &#038; #4 (TWA Sat 20th April)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Important to get an update in now whilst I&#8217;m sitting atop my own league since, after the Silent Valley, I fear this&#8217;ll not be the case again this year.&nbsp; Indeed, aficionados of the carshare and local league tables might care to note I&#8217;m first and second in the league respectively &#8211; nothing whatsoever to do with the number of races I&#8217;ve run, of course.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, to less important matters.<\/p>\n<p><u>#3 Silent Valley, Sat 13th April<\/u>&nbsp; @ 12 noon<\/p>\n<p>Entry list <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nimra.org.uk\/index.php\/silent-valley-entry-list-2013\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8230; but there appear to be more traveling; you need to pre-enter by 5th April <a href=\"http:\/\/results.nimra.org.uk\/ps\/event\/SilentValley\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Carshare&#8217;s flight list can be accessed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dpfr.org.uk\/blog\/posts\/6155\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8230; but this isn&#8217;t comprehensive either, so please do get in touch with DT if you want to sort flight\/carshare.<\/p>\n<p>NIMRA course description and other details <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nimra.org.uk\/index.php\/events\/event\/silent-valley\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Carshare&#8217;s map <a href=\"\/uploads\/posts\/files\/114\/Silent_Valley_map_DT_Jan13.jpg\">here<\/a><\/p>\n<p>And in his own words: <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A completely classic route, not too hard in navigation<br \/>\nas the Mourne Wall helps out.<span>&nbsp; <\/span>The start is well up a hillside, with the kit check also<br \/>\nup there, and not the place to realise you\u2019ve forgotten something. The Mourne<br \/>\nWall climbs up to Slieve Binnian, and then totally classic running along the<br \/>\nridge for a while, and then lose all the height to the dam wall of Ben Crom.<br \/>\nEnjoy this bit, the only flat running of the course. Up to Doan is rough and<br \/>\nsteep. Enough of a trod can be used to contour round above the lake to Carn<br \/>\nmountain, and now it\u2019s beside the wall over Slieve Muck to Slievenagloch.
