
  
{"id":2377,"date":"2010-10-31T17:27:27","date_gmt":"2010-10-31T17:27:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dpfr.org.uk\/wp_dpfr\/?p=2377"},"modified":"2010-10-31T17:27:27","modified_gmt":"2010-10-31T17:27:27","slug":"","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dpfr.org.uk\/wp_dpfr\/2377","title":{"rendered":"Yoga for runners (and climbers and cyclists)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>I have received the following communication from Jenny Laird, if you are interested in yoga then read on:-<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We at Sheffield Yoga Centre are planning to start a new class specifically for people who are committed climbers, runners or cyclists.\u00a0 We know from experience how much these activities\u00a0 improve with the practice of yoga with its emphasis on correct stretching, improved posture and breathing techniques. Evidence from our colleagues in other centres providing specialist classes show how\u00a0 injuries are minimised and flexibilty significantly increased from even just one session a week. We also have a new teacher who has trained athletes and sports people in New Zealand where she lived before.<\/p>\n<p><em>The class will start mid November. We would welcome your views on the classes. Our questions are:<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Which night will be best &#8211; Wednesday or Thursday?<br \/>\nWhat time of evening?
