
  
{"id":2342,"date":"2010-05-31T20:02:17","date_gmt":"2010-05-31T20:02:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dpfr.org.uk\/wp_dpfr\/?p=2342"},"modified":"2010-06-18T07:33:14","modified_gmt":"2010-06-18T07:33:14","slug":"","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dpfr.org.uk\/wp_dpfr\/2342","title":{"rendered":"Week from 5th\/6th June 2010"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Calver. &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.calverpeak.co.uk\/calver_fellresults10.html\">results<\/a>     <\/p>\n<p>Tansley:- <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tansleyparish.com\/TansleyVillage\/noticeboard\/HillRaceResults2010.pdf\">results.<\/a> <font color=\"#000000\">Martin Stocks \u201c I did manage to get a brief idea of the sharp end from where I was (a little bit blunt) and from Mick Stenton (very sharp): Matt Jones of Ripley AC (2nd last year and being watched by prospective coaches) at 14 years old won in about 27:30, with Mick about a minute behind in 4th.&#160; I think I was about 12th, immediately behind Christine Howard of Matlock AC in 30 minutes dead.&#160;&#160; Brown vests aplenty in what appeared to be a significantly larger field than the 80 that started last year\u201d      <br \/><\/font><font color=\"#0000ff\">Boar\u2019s Head<\/font>.<\/font> \u2013 no travellers to the distant parts\u2026.     <\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\"><font color=\"#0000ff\">Monday:- <a href=\"http:\/\/www.runbg.co.uk\/Summer%20League\/Dates%20and%20routes.htm\">Summer Series (5) &#8211; Curbar Triples.<\/a>&#160;&#160; &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.runbg.co.uk\/Summer%20League\/08%20summer5.htm\">results<\/a><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Duddon Valley:- Lakeland Classic (1) \u2013&#160; <a href=\"http:\/\/duddonvalley.fellrace.org.uk\/races\/long\/2010\">results<\/a>. <font color=\"#000000\">Never mind the final of Britain\u2019s Got Talent \u2013 there was some talent running around Duddon today.<\/font> <\/font><font color=\"#000000\">Warm, hot at times, and the streams very low, making it a hard second part from Three Shires. No problem finding the way, distinct trods are developing and it was clear throughout.&#160; Simon Booth was first, Lloyd \u2013 3rd : John Hunt \u2013 4th : Rhys (clearly benefitting from his Lakeland move) \u2013 6th. Newcomer Mark Tuckett \u2013 16th. Nicky \u2013 1st LV40. I may well have missed some names off the results copying down.      <br \/>&#160; BUT \u2013 1st Team, and those vital 1st Lakeland Classic points. Next is Ennerdale, where the massed ranks of Borrowdale will take some holding, a damage limitation exercise. But then Wasdale. Really well organised with prizes aplenty including team prize. Al Ward was 1st, and also 1st Team prize\u201d. <\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p> <font color=\"#0000ff\">Pen y Ghent&#160; &#8211; <\/font><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wharfedaleharriers.org.uk\/results10\/pen-y-ghent10.pdf\"><font color=\"#0000ff\">results<\/font><\/a><font color=\"#0000ff\">&#160; . with Tom Edwards a very high 5th, and Matt \u2013 25th.    <br \/>Kentmere Trail&#160; &#8211; <\/font><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lakelandtrails.org\/download\/Results\/S10Results\/rptResult.html\"><font color=\"#0000ff\">results<\/font><\/a><font color=\"#0000ff\">    <br \/>Shining Cliff \u2013 <\/font><a href=\"http:\/\/www.runningwithdavid.com\/shiningcliff-June2010.php\"><font color=\"#0000ff\">results<\/font><\/a>   <br \/><font color=\"#0000ff\">Welsh 1000m \u2013&#160; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.welsh1000m.org\/RepOverallResults.pdf\">results<\/a>&#160; .<font color=\"#000000\">Such a classic race, but none of us there, a need for a race clash re-think?      <br \/><\/font>Wincle Trout.<\/font> \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wincle.org.uk\/pdfs\/Wincle_Senior_Results_2010.pdf\">results<\/a> Pete Tapping sends \u201cDifficult to believe I was the only brown shirt at this very popular race, which was full well before the day. The route is slightly different every year as they change the field hosting the fete, but they helpfully put out the last results over this course. Not very steep anywhere in the 9k, but a very long steady slog in still warm air up to the top of the Hanging Stone before tearing down across the fields and through the woods to the quaint fete field and a welcome pint of Wincle ale in the sunshine. The trout seemed bigger and tastier this year.\u201d   <\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\"><font color=\"#000000\"><font color=\"#0000ff\">Castleton \u2013 <\/font><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gritstoneseries.co.uk\/#\/results\/4533677137\">results<\/a>&#160; . It\u2019s such a huge help to everyone when people send links, sticky labels, photographs of results, everything. Thanks to Martyn Goodwin for this:- \u201cA sunny hot evening in Castleton resulted in some fast course times and a good turnout of 240 runners. The race wasn&#8217;t without incident, one badly cut knee and one broken wrist.\u201d         <br \/>&#160;&#160; DT some most welcome returns from troubled times, notably Dave Neill, of some ancient age but coming home as 1st V40, and good to have Mike Noble back again, from Pennine.         <\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Wharfedale Off Road Marathon<\/font>&#160; &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sportident.co.uk\/results\/2010\/Wharfedale\/off-road_marathon.html\">results.<\/a>&#160; <font color=\"#000000\">Regular at this event, Kenny Turner was 31st , in 4.09.52.
