The Dark Peak raid was actually very successul, though apparently it seems Ian was missed in calculating the team result, which we actually won. (1st, 2nd and 23rd=26 points, which less than the combined 32 for Maccelesfield.) Unlucky Mr. Winterburn! (though you wouldn&#8217;t have wanted the mass produced liquid called lager;rescue ale is a far finer beverage!) So who remembered the suntan cream then? There\u2019s good races, hard races, and beating them all are the Ireland races. This was excellent in every way, based in the Silent Valley , below the dam wall. Two bits of flat running, across the two dam walls. Stunning scenery, superb course, very hard running, ups, awkward downs, peat, bogs, everything. A week earlier it might have been cancelled due to the snow\u2026<\/font>       <br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nimra.org.uk\/news\/2010\/silent_valley_team_results\/\">Team Results.<\/a>&#160;&#160; Men 2nd, Ladies 2nd, Vets 2nd. Out for the prizes were Lloyd 1st Vet 40, Liz \u2013 2nd? LV40, Roy Gibson \u2013 3rd V50 (under the local prize awarding rules..)         <\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#0000ff\">Most Competitors Prize:-<\/font> this was awarded on the pre-entry list. Counting out the finishers, Eryri \u2013 18 runners : DPFR \u2013 18 runners : Calder Valley \u2013 15 runners. A marvellous turnout, thanks to everyone ( and for the bottle of wine\u2026) .
